Why this template works
The product showcase variant inverts the usual social-proof pattern: instead of rotating through recent buyers, it shows one curated product with rolling-purchase-count social proof attached ("47 bought in the last 24 hours"). This works for promoting specific bestseller, hero, or margin-protected SKUs — the social proof comes from the count, not from individual purchaser names. Better signal-to-noise for stores with one or two stand-out products you want to push, where rotating-name social proof spreads attention too thin.
Best on collection pages and homepage; less useful on individual PDPs.

Does this conflict with name-based social proof?
Yes — only run one social proof template per page. Two simultaneous notifications looks spammy and degrades trust.
