How to create a shoppable video widget
Upload short videos, tag the products in them, pick a layout, publish the widget, and let shoppers add to cart without leaving the page.
Short videos show a product better than a photo. Tag the product, and shoppers can buy it straight from the video.
TL;DR
Go to Store Widgets, click Create Widget and pick the shoppable videos widget. Click Add video, upload your clips and tag the products in each one. Pick a layout, click Publish, then Add to store. You need an Online Store 2.0 theme and a paid plan (Growth, Scale or Pro). Growth includes 25 videos, Scale 100 and Pro 500.
Step 1 · Create the widget
In Nudgesmart, open Store Widgets and click Create Widget. Pick the shoppable videos widget.
Give it a clear name under Widget information, such as "Shop the look".
Step 2 · Add your videos
In the Items tab, click Add video and upload a clip. Add a short caption if you like.

Tips:
- Short, vertical clips work best on phones.
- If a clip has no sound, tick This video has no sound.
Step 3 · Tag your products
Click a video. Under Products, pick the products that appear in it.
Each tagged product shows as a small tag with an add-to-cart button. When a shopper adds a product, it goes into their cart and they stay on the page.
Step 4 · Pick a layout
Open the Design tab and choose how the videos appear.

Your options:
- Layout. Row is a row you swipe through. Grid shows several at once. Story circles shows round thumbnails, like social media stories.
- Video shape. Tall (9:16), Portrait (4:5) or Square (1:1).
- Play a short preview before a shopper taps.
- Product tag. On the video or Below the video.
- Style, Accent color, Corners and Space between items.
Step 5 · Publish and add it to your store
In the Status & publishing card, click Publish. Then click Add to store and follow the steps.
The shoppable videos widget works on your home page, product pages, collection pages and other pages. The full steps are in How to add a Nudgesmart widget to your store.
See how your videos do
The Store Widgets list shows plays and add-to-carts for each video widget. These numbers only count visitors who accepted tracking on your store, so they will be lower than your total visitors.
Common pitfalls
- A video won't publish. Wait for the upload to finish. A video that is still uploading can't go live.
- The add-to-cart button is missing. Tag at least one product on that video.
- Edits don't show on the store. Click Publish changes.
Frequently asked questions
Can I show different videos on different products?
Yes. Make one widget per group of products. Then use Show on products in the Settings tab. See show different widgets on different products.
Do shoppers leave the page when they add to cart?
No. The product goes into the cart and the shopper stays where they are.
